What is the Federal Gazette (Bundesanzeiger)?

The Federal Gazette (Bundesanzeiger) is the central platform for pronouncements and announcements, as well as for legally relevant company news. Further information about the historical background and the activities of the Federal Gazette you can find on the websites of the the publishing house under https://www.bundesanzeiger-verlag.de/ueber-uns/.

Where do I find what?

A complete table of contents of the Federal Gazette is displayed for you if you click on the header “Overview”. You can find all sections and headings of the Federal Gazette under “Useful Information - How it works - Contents” or using the search function.

How do I search?

We offer a full-text search and an advanced search. You can search through the entire Federal Gazette by specific terms. It is not possible to perform a full text search of the content of published annual financial statements and publications pursuant to sections 264, para. 3, and 264b of the Commercial Code (HGB). Using the advanced search, you can further refine the search according to specific criteria, such as publication timeframe or area.

What is the best way to print?

In the print menu, select page layout, then landscape. You can print search results and documents via your browser. Usually, a print version is available.

Why can’t I add any bookmarks?

When searching on our sites, you are navigating in a so-called “session” for security reasons. This expires after 30 minutes if you do not make any further entries. The same applies to a bookmark that you add for a publication that you find. It expires after 30 minutes.

You can perform full-text searches.

Using the full-text search you can search the entire Federal Gazette by desired terms.

Note: A full text search via the publication content is not possible for accounting documents and company reports - i.e. for publications in the "Accounting/Financial Reports" section.

The advanced search enables you to limit the full-text search to specific parts or headings of the Federal Gazette and to combine it with specific criteria, such as the timeframe of the publication. In this way, you can search for publications in a targeted manner and print out your search results.

Information about filed annual financial statements (balance sheets) can be retrieved from the Company Register.

Security prompt

If you would like to view the publication of annual financial statements/financial reports, half-year financial reports, quarterly financial reports, interim notifications or sections 264, para. 3, and 264b of the Commercial Code (HGB) (exemption), you must for security reasons respond to a security prompt. The exact process will be explained to you when the prompt appears.

Publication times

Publication times are normally Mo-Fr starting at 3:00 p.m.

In the areas Litigation Register, Shareholder Forum, Securities Acquisition and Takeover, and special announcements of investment companies, publication times are Mo–Fr between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Bookmarks

It is not possible to bookmark a publication, since for technical reasons it is valid for only 30 minutes.

Tip: Always print out the search results or found documents. Usually, a print version is also available for documents.
